We had an absolute good time at Love Tomorrow 2024! Meeting other entrepreneurs and hearing about their journeys was fantastic. And guess what? There was a Ferris wheel at the event, so of course we snuck a ride - we couldn't resist!

We also caught up with Peter from Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) to talk about the next steps in supporting the startup ecosystem. Overall, it was great to see where we are with our product and get some early feedback.

Why we pivoted from air quality monitoring to environmental monitoring

Indoor air quality is a relatively new focus, especially when it comes to children. Although the recent COVID-19 pandemic has brought more attention to this issue, we have found through talking to parents that their biggest concern is their baby's sleep schedule. Babies are extremely sensitive to environmental changes that can easily disrupt their sleep.

In hindsight, it seems obvious that we should have focused on sleep from the beginning. So we took all your feedback and improved our product by adding noise and light sensors in addition to air quality sensors. We also created a new bedtime mode specifically designed to help parents create the ideal sleep environment for their children.

Research shows that maintaining a consistent sleep environment can significantly improve a child's sleep quality (Sleep Foundation). With our new features, we want to help parents ensure their little ones are getting the best sleep possible.

What's coming next?

We're super excited about our upcoming mobile app! The first version will give you better visibility into the air quality in your neighborhood. This is a big step towards achieving 360° visibility once our environmental monitoring device is available.

The app will provide clear, actionable tips for improving air quality and send real-time alerts to your phone.
